An Ill Wind by K A Perkins - Review

A great introduction to the Valkyrie Series by K A Perkins, 'An Ill Wind' introduces us to one of the main characters in 'Dead Reckoning' - Gabriella Berryngton - as she is forced into marriage in Seventeenth Century colonial America. Initially relieved to be escaping an unhappy childhood home, her new life quickly descends into horror. Available as a paperback from our LionheART Publishing House page, or as an ebook from Amazon Kindle or Smashwords, discover a riveting story exploring the powerlessness of women at that time - even in 'The New World' - where most people emigrated to find freedom. Gabriella finds some friendship though, with a slave girl and a pirate, and looks to find the positives in a dire situation. Yet things get worse, and she struggles to find a way to cope...
